I love the Spielberg version of War Of The Worlds, since a little kid the tripods have always been more scary to me than anything. I can watch macarbe horror films with sick evil shit in but it doesnt effect me. But the tripod just stood there scares the shit out of me, I tried to imagine me in the film and running out back into my garden and seeing the tripod come out the ground and stand over the houses. I'm not convinced the quality is that good, but it's more about the theme / idea, I love the photo, it looks just how imagined it to be - I think its eerie and kind of epic at the same time.
Great pic! One night I dreamt that I stumbled upon one of those tripods in a corridor at home. I mean, it was a tripod whose size was suitable for my corridor... Only two metres high. But, oh, my, it was so scary to find it and see that it started to run after me... And making those horrid fog horn sounds... Really, the movie scared me at that moment, when the tripods attack at first time. At that scene, I was like "Why the hell donīt they start running madly for their life?" >O<
im scared shitless that i will be sitting in my home when i will hear that sound. funnily enough 2 days after i watched this there was a HUGE thunder storm over my house and the lightning hit loads! i was 14 and i shat myself! nice pic though dunno if i would run or stand there and shout at it randomly like "het back in the film!"
Great work. Gave me the creeps looking at it.
